Built specifically with newborns and new mums and dads in mind - our studio is warm, relaxing and clean

02.Session length

There are no set time frames for each package. Little babies are so new and fresh and getting used to the world around them. I like to work with them and not against them. On average expect to spend about 2 hours in studio

03.Beautiful props

Each piece in our studio is hand-picked and ethically resourced. Please feel free to let us know if you have anything you would like to incorporate in your session - for example a special outfit or sentimental item

04.Comfort

Safety is my number one priority. I much prefer to get candid and comfortable shots of your baby never compromising their safety. If there are any specific poses that you would like to capture please let me know in advance

Newborn Sessions take place in our in-home studio, located in Mount Cotton. We recommend booking your newborn session whilst you are pregnant to avoid disappointment and so we can pencil your session in around your due date. We can then schedule your newborn session by contacting Alana once baby is born, ideally within the first 14 days after birth when babies are still sleepy and squishy!  

Of course, babies outside of this timeframe are just as welcome and we can certainly capture some beautiful memories during that more alert stage of newborn development.

Preemies and multiples are an exception to the rule, since they tend to spend more time in hospital and it's not always possible to get them in within two weeks of birth - because they are usually born earlier though, their window of sleepy and squishy photos is generally a bit longer than a full-term baby. Multiples are also charged the same pricing packages as one baby.

Alana's general rule of thumb is we work with babies and not against them. She promises to capture some beautiful, posed and candid memories for you to keep for a lifetime.  

Prior to the session, we'll discuss styling options, and how to prepare for the shoot - however, it's pretty simple - bring yourself, bring baby, bring any comforters, breasts or bottles, anything sentimental that you would like incorporated into the shoot and come and enjoy a good chat and coffee whilst Alana works her magic.

Pricing includes session fee:

• $275 -session plus 5 high-resolution digital images
• $350 - session plus 10 high-resolution digital images
• $425 - session plus 15 high-resolution digital images
• $525 - session plus 25 high-resolution digital images

Cake Smash

Treasure your child's first year by celebrating with some sweet photos of them showing off their unique and wonderful personality.

$160 includes:

• session plus 5 digital high-resolution images - extended packages available
• In-studio/outdoor locations.
